A very dark time in US history
The mentality of that time is no mystery
What you were afraid of, you killed
A lot of blood spilled
A lot of necks broken
They're words never spoken
Just silence as their body sways
Do we do lynchings today?
Of course
Maybe not literally grabbing a man by force
From his warm bed in his scant hut
Or chasing him down, a punch or two in the gut
Stringing him up to a tree
Setting his soul free
But we continue to covertly lynch or
Silence those we consider inferior

This will never change

What you are afraid of, learn about
